Painting inspired by the English Summer landscape, very green fields, bright sunshine interspersed with sharp showers. Inspiration struck as I was walking home down the hill, with the West Common and the Trent Valley in the front with the Pennine Hills a distant line on the horizon. We had had a very wet spring and early summer!
